This week on Make My Monday we are going Monochrome, still with the Steam Punk theme but just using one colour.
So for my card I used Walnut ink distress ink and stamps from 7 Gypsies, Personal Impressions and The Artistic Stamper. The background was made by spreading the ink on to a craft sheet, spraying with water and then dipping the card into it. Most of the stamping was done straight onto the card except for the man, hand and word. I stamped them onto cream card and added with foam pads to give a bit of dimension to the card. I love the differing colours you get from the same ink when you use it in different ways.
Do come over to Make My Monday and see what the Design team have done this week, there are some great ideas.
Thanks for reading,
Cath

Fabulous card Cath. Love your background and the thoughtful man.
Hope you're feeling a little better now and thinking of you as I know how hard it is to lose a good friend.
Hugs, Fliss xx
Hi Cath, hope your feeling a bit better... losing a close friend is so difficult... sending you warm, positive thoughts.
I love the thoughtful man... great Steampunk!
I still have no joy about you commenting on my blog... my settings say any one can comment so completely stumped. Vicky is also still having problems.
take care

I keep threatening to make a steampunk piece, but so far I've found nothing to inspire me. I love what you have done, both this week and last, but of course, I don't have any of those stamps (grin). Keep up the good work. I agree that different techniques and amount of water used influences the color. Great when working in a monochromatic theme, too!
