2 posts in 1 day

Just had to post this photo of my attempt at the Monday treat over on What the cook is that?

Today is Mocha Chocolate Cupcakes. I found them very easy to make and though I don't like coffee cake as a rule I found this one is not too overpowering. I have just put icing sugar on mine but if you go on to the site she has has some amazing toppings. I also found that my cake cases were too small but I used them in a muffin tray and the cakes raised above them but didn't go all over. This is another one I will do again.

Found a new blog.

Was having a quick look at one of the blogs I stalk the other day and she had posted about a new blog called "What the cook is that" well you have to have a look don't you! This is my take on her Cheese and Bacon Muffins. I am not that good at photo shop so this is how the photo turned out. I must say they are quite scrummy even though the might not look it in the photo.

Oh no I have just had another look today and she has chocolate cakes...........

Back again.......

Well I did think all my bad luck was well behind me, that is obviously not the case.

This last ten days or so has seen me waiting for a designer that came over to get in touch so she could come and do a class for my ladies. not a word! When I eventually get in touch with her she had not got my last email so thought I had cancelled.

I went to a meeting with the local council and the girl who wants to take my unit to sign it over and get the two thousand pounds they owe me, to be told that they will see me again in 10 days as they haven't had chance to talk about it yet....... I moved out almost a year ago.

Then the worst bit of news was my Mother in law died. It was expected as she has not been well for a while, but Hal had been over to see her just a few weeks ago and see had seemed to be on the up.

I did get one piece of good news it looks like I and going to get my CJ back. I sent it out over a year ago but with the way my year has been I never got to finish a lot of the pages for the other ladies, so I thought that I wouldn't see it again but the lady that has it has been in touch and it is on its way back to me. Now I just feel bad that I didn't get to finish the rest of them. Hopefully I can get it touch with some of them and get them done.

Im back........

Ok its time to dust this blog down and get it started again.
I have had a crap year so far but have decided to draw a line under all that has gone on and start afresh. So here goes. I will be posting on here at least once a week from now on and hopefully get some photos of pages made on here.

These are a couple of pages I did using the Scrapaholix kit from March. The photos are not that good as I copied them from a web site but I don't think the pages have come out bad at all.

Where has January gone.......

Ok so who took it? where has January gone?
I just don't understand what has happened this month, it has flown past and I don't seam to of done anything at all.

Just a few weeks and I'm off to the NEC for the trade show. This year I will have a better idea of what I want out of it. Last year I had only had the shop open for a few weeks so didn't really know what was selling and what wasn't, but this year I am going with a list and a friend who hopefully will stop me buying everything I like instead of what will sell.

Happy New Year

Happy New Year to every one.

We had a great Christmas this year, we went to a hotel for a few nights and got spoiled rotten. They had this amazing dancing Santa in the doorway that we just had to dance along with.
I decided that as we haven't celebrated Christmas since we moved out here I was going to make sure we didn't forget this one, so I am about to bore you all with loads of photos.

This one was taken on Christmas eve in the dining room. Do I have a thing about Santa?

This is the view we had from our room, great pool just much to cold to use.

Christmas day we went for a walk down to the cove to clear our heads ready for the days festivities. This does not do it justice, the water was so clear you could see the fish and just wanted to get in.

This was the sight that greeted us when we went down for dinner on Christmas night. The whole place had been decorated in white and gold, it looked lovely.

OK this is the last one for now. It is of us both on Christmas night after a few drinks.
I hope you are still with me here, I have had a wonderful Christmas and New Year this year even without family about and hope you have too. I will save the rest of the photos for my Christmas album that I will show you when I have finished.
